Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Role Description

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a newly created C-level position reporting directly to the CEO of a fast-growing Series B scale-up in the cryptocurrency trading sector. In this role, you will be responsible for translating the company’s high-level strategy into detailed operational plans, defining KPIs and OKRs, and ensuring cross-functional teams execute against these targets. You will establish the operational rhythm of the business, drive leadership alignment, and remove bottlenecks to scale customer experience and analytics functions.

Key responsibilities include:
• Strategy execution and operational leadership: set quarterly planning cadences, track progress against strategic goals, and support efficient decision making at the executive level.
• Functional oversight: build, structure, and lead the Customer Experience and Analytics teams, collaborating with Finance and Legal in a dotted-line capacity.
• Customer experience management: design support operations focused on responsiveness, satisfaction, and self-service; embed user feedback loops into product and strategy; introduce automation and tooling to scale operations without compromising quality.
• Analytics enablement: define data-driven frameworks, develop dashboards and reporting cadences, deliver actionable insights to guide prioritization and continuous improvement across all departments.
• Performance management: establish company-wide KPIs (CAC, LTV, churn, SLA performance), support quarterly and annual planning with robust measurement systems, and ensure alignment between operational execution and strategic objectives.
• Cross-functional coordination: facilitate collaboration between Customer Experience, Analytics, Product, Engineering, Growth, Finance, and Legal to streamline business rhythms and internal controls.

Throughout these functions, you will act as a key integrator, driving operational excellence and ensuring that every team is aligned with the company’s vision to deliver advanced trading tools and automated strategies to global traders.
