Head of ML

Role Overview

The Head of ML will lead and expand the Machine Learning and Data Science department within a global B2B SaaS enterprise integration and automation platform. Reporting directly to the CTO and working closely with AI Engineering, Infrastructure, and Analytics, you will be responsible for shaping the ML strategy, supervising current and future projects, and ensuring seamless collaboration across regions (US, Asia, Europe). This role demands strategic vision, technical expertise in LLMs and GNNs, and strong leadership skills to grow the team from 2 to 10–20 specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the ML roadmap and align projects with business goals for enterprise integration and productivity improvement.
• Lead recruitment, mentoring, and performance management of the ML/DS department.
• Manage core projects: Metadata Extraction & Semantic Lake (LLMs, fine-tuning, optimization); Business Metrics Prediction (business/supply chain graphs, GNNs, ML/DL, time series); Multi-Provider Model Work (Azure+OpenAI, Amazon+Anthropic, Gemini, Cerebras, self-hosted).
• Establish best practices for model development, versioning, deployment, and monitoring in a matrix environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in AI engineering, infrastructure, product, and analytics to integrate ML solutions into workflows.
• Evaluate new AI tools, frameworks, and cloud services to maintain competitive advantage.
