Technology Engineer (Hadoop)

Description of the Role

As a Technology Engineer (Hadoop) at Enfint, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, deployment, and operational support of our production Hadoop clusters in a highly available, transaction-driven banking environment. You will play a key role in optimizing cluster performance, collaborating with data engineers to tune Spark jobs, and ensuring full automation and observability of critical data pipelines. Your daily tasks include installing and configuring Cloudera components, applying automated patching and security checks, and maintaining high standards of reliability for data analytics workloads.

Key responsibilities:
• Deploy, configure, and maintain production Hadoop clusters (Cloudera) for big data workloads.
• Optimize cluster performance, resource utilization, and Spark job efficiency in partnership with data engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain automation pipelines using Ansible, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or ArgoCD for CI/CD of data processing jobs.
• Write and maintain shell, Python, and Groovy scripts to automate operational tasks and regulatory checks.
• Manage containerized workloads with Podman, Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift in a distributed environment.
• Monitor system health, implement observability solutions, and troubleshoot incidents under strict SLAs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan capacity, perform upgrades, and roll out security patches.
