Senior PHP Developer

Description of the Role

As a Senior PHP Developer at Brainsome, you will play a pivotal role in evolving our core ecosystem of interconnected projects and launching new services tailored to the US market. You’ll collaborate closely with product owners, UX/UI designers and DevOps engineers to deliver robust, scalable web applications. Your responsibilities encompass developing new functionality within existing solutions, architecting fresh modules, maintaining and optimizing legacy codebases, and ensuring high code quality across the board.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and integrate new features into our existing PHP-based ecosystem using Symfony, Laravel or Yii frameworks.
• Architect and build standalone projects destined to join the larger suite of Brainsome products.
• Maintain, refactor and optimize current services to meet performance and reliability targets.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to secure code coverage and reduce regression risk.
• Conduct peer code reviews, mentor junior developers and enforce best practices in OOP and design patterns.
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize applications with Docker, and integrate message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka for asynchronous processing.
