Senior Kotlin/Java Developer (Core Team)

Role Description

You will join a core engineering team at our VC-backed DataOps startup based in London, reporting directly to the CTO. As Senior Kotlin/Java Developer, you’ll design and implement critical modules of a high-performance DataOps platform—an AI-driven solution that synthesizes vast volumes of sensitive data for downstream processing, testing, and secure sharing in compliance with privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and developing core data processing components using Kotlin and Java
• Architecting and optimizing high-throughput pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of structured and unstructured data
• Implementing new data source integrations and building robust connectors to on-premises and cloud systems
• Developing generation and transformation algorithms to anonymize, validate, and enrich data
• Monitoring and improving system performance and stability; troubleshooting bottlenecks
• Collaborating with DevOps to deploy components via Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
• Ensuring code quality with automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
• Mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices in clean code, reliable design, and secure development
