Platform Engineer

Role Description

Join our VC-backed London data startup as a Platform Engineer and take ownership of global cloud automation strategy. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure as code to power an AI-driven DataOps platform. Your daily tasks include:
• Building and maintaining Terraform modules, AWS CloudFormation templates, or Azure Resource Manager scripts for provisioning and configuring cloud resources.
• Developing CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to automate deployments at scale.
• Implementing programmatic monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure infrastructure reliability and performance.
• Integrating security best practices into automated workflows: IAM policies, encryption, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
• Optimizing cloud resource utilization and cost management through automation and policy enforcement.
• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure incidents using code-driven diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
• Serving as an internal champion for infrastructure best practices, mentoring engineers on IaC patterns and cloud native architectures.
