As a Platform Engineer at our VC-backed data startup in London, you will drive the design, implementation and continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure. You will partner with development and customer engineering teams worldwide to build scalable, secure platforms using infrastructure as code. Your core responsibilities include designing and maintaining automated provisioning workflows, creating robust CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and applications, and embedding security controls and compliance checks into every stage of deployment.

You will be expected to:
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules, CloudFormation stacks or Azure Resource Manager templates to provision and manage resources across multi-cloud environments.
• Create automation scripts and workflows that accelerate environment setup, configuration management and routine operational tasks.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines leveraging best practices in continuous delivery, automated testing and containerization.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions as code to ensure high availability, performance visibility and rapid incident response.
• Embed security best practices into infrastructure code, automate compliance checks and optimize cost controls through programmatic resource management.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, lead root-cause analysis and propose long-term architectural improvements.
• Serve as a knowledge anchor for the team, championing modern infrastructure methodologies and sharing insights on cloud-native technologies.
