Freelance Motion Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking versatile Freelance Motion Designers who can plug into Superside’s workflows with speed, precision and creative excellence. You will own the end-to-end motion template production process at scale, ensuring brand consistency across social, digital and campaign assets. The ideal candidate combines strong After Effects expertise with hands-on experience in Storyteq templating and data-driven automation, enabling high-volume production without sacrificing quality.

Your key responsibilities include:
• Designing, optimizing and maintaining scalable motion templates for high-volume campaign and digital content production.
• Building Storyteq templates: parameter mapping, asset structuring, variable fields, logic setup.
• Ensuring seamless ingestion of CSV/XML data and driving automated asset generation using tools like compsfromspreadsheets or similar.
• Creating polished motion graphics when custom animation is required, adhering closely to brand guidelines.
• Collaborating with Motion, Creative Ops and Automation teams to define efficient workflows, identify automation opportunities and improve template performance.
• Implementing expressions, rigging systems and templatisation best practices for reusability, consistency and speed.
• Troubleshooting file structure, render issues, dynamic text layout challenges and automation edge cases.
• Balancing creativity and efficiency to deliver high-quality work on tight timelines.
