Developer Relations Engineer

Job Description

Developer Relations Engineer at Arbitrum Foundation is a strategic technical evangelist role focused on driving adoption of Arbitrum’s Layer 2 scaling solutions. You will engage with global Ethereum developers to promote Arbitrum One (Optimistic Rollup), deliver workshops, produce tutorial content, and provide hands-on support. As a core member of our Engineering team, you will assess technical proposals, review architecture and source code, and relay developer feedback to our product and engineering groups. This position requires fluency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Java), strong fundamentals in Solidity, and deep understanding of EVM-based blockchain technology.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and nurture relationships with developers within and outside the Arbitrum ecosystem; act as the primary technical contact and provide expert support.
* Develop and execute community growth strategies: organize meetups, webinars, hackathons, and workshops to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
* Create, maintain, and enhance comprehensive technical documentation, code samples, tutorials, and open source integrations.
* Collect and synthesize developer feedback to guide product improvements, and advocate for developer needs across the organization.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and engineering to align developer outreach with strategic goals and measure success via engagement metrics.
* Evaluate grant proposals and product requirement documents from a technical standpoint, assessing team capabilities, architecture viability, and timeline credibility.
* Contribute back to the ecosystem through open source projects and educational materials that simplify integration with Arbitrum chains.
