Backend Developer – Symfony (Payment Integrations)

Role Description

Our team is looking for a dedicated and experienced Symfony Backend Developer to build and maintain a robust billing infrastructure and payment integrations for digital businesses. In this FinTech Developer position, you will design and implement secure, high-performance RESTful services using Symfony and PHP, ensuring seamless interaction with multiple payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, and local providers. You will be responsible for architecting microservices that handle invoicing, subscription management, transaction processing, and reconciliation workflows. Key tasks include:
* Developing and maintaining backend modules in Symfony, following SOLID principles and best practices.
* Designing and optimizing databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for high availability and low latency.
* Implementing and integrating APIs with external payment providers, handling webhooks, callbacks, and error scenarios.
* Ensuring security and compliance with PCI DSS standards, performing code reviews and vulnerability assessments.
* Writing clean, maintainable code, accompanied by comprehensive unit and integration tests (PHPUnit).
* Collaborating closely with frontend engineers, DevOps teams, and Product Managers to deliver end-to-end solutions on schedule.
* Setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Docker) for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
