Backend Developer

Role Overview

As a Backend Developer, you will design, develop and maintain high-performance services that form the backbone of our iGaming products. You will work on modern backend systems, handling high-throughput, low-latency requirements, and collaborate closely with front-end engineers, QA, and DevOps to deliver seamless experiences to our users.

Your key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining high-quality applications using Java, Node.js, and eventually Golang through our structured onboarding program.
* Communicating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
* Implementing best practices for scalable backend systems, including micro-service communication patterns and event-driven architectures.
* Contributing to the design and architecture of distributed systems, ensuring fault tolerance and performance under heavy load.
* Managing data persistence layers with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB/DynamoDB), optimizing indexing, concurrency control, and partitioning.
* Leveraging Kafka for reliable message streaming and processing within our event-driven pipelines.
