AWS Engineer

Role Description

Timspark is seeking a highly skilled AWS Engineer to join our international team on a long-term, full-time basis. In this role, you will take ownership of the design, deployment and maintenance of mission-critical, high-scale cloud environments. You’ll work closely with DevOps and development teams to ensure seamless integration between services, continuous delivery pipelines and robust infrastructure architectures. Your primary focus will be on optimizing AWS resources, implementing best practices for cost efficiency and security, and driving migrations of complex data models to innovative OneTable designs.

Key responsibilities:
* Architect, deploy and manage AWS-based infrastructures including Lambda, API Gateway, S3 and DynamoDB;
* Design and implement data model migrations from traditional relational or multi-table DynamoDB designs to OneTable schema;
* Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize system performance under high load;
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions;
* Enforce security best practices, backup strategies and disaster recovery plans;
* Provide hands-on support and mentoring to junior engineers as needed.
