NestJS Developer

Role Description

As a NestJS Developer at Akveo, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of a robust backend architecture for HealthTech solutions serving Post Overdose Response Teams in the US. In this role, you will implement RESTful APIs using the NestJS framework and TypeScript, ensuring best practices for scalability, modularity, and maintainability. You will leverage Socket.IO to deliver real-time updates for case management, task assignments, and analytics dashboards. Working closely with frontend and mobile teams, you will integrate AWS services—such as Cognito for authentication, RDS for managed PostgreSQL databases, S3 for secure file storage, and SNS/SES for notifications and email workflows.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include participating in architecture reviews, writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, collaborating with DevOps engineers on CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks. You will also contribute to project planning, sprint ceremonies, and continuous improvement of code quality. This position demands strong communication skills in English (B2+), a proactive mindset, and the ability to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
