Machine Learning Engineering Manager

Role Description

In this position, the Machine Learning Engineering Manager will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of ML systems powering Cleo’s AI-driven finance app. You will lead and mentor a team of ML engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning architectures. Your responsibilities include defining technical roadmaps, establishing best practices for model training and inference, and collaborating with product managers and software development teams to integrate models seamlessly into production. Key tasks:
* Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of ML engineers.
* Architect and optimize machine learning pipelines, ensuring robustness and scalability.
* Implement CI/CD processes for model versioning and deployment using tools like AWS SageMaker, Docker, and Kubernetes.
* Partner with Data Science and Product teams to translate business requirements into high-quality ML solutions, from feature engineering to evaluation metrics.
* Monitor model performance in production, analyze drift, and coordinate retraining cycles.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA).
