QA Engineer

Role Overview

We’re looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about APIs, data quality, and helping ensure our products are reliable, accurate, and scalable. You will be responsible for testing and validating our APIs and data products, ensuring high-quality data and reliable performance for our customers. You’ll primarily work on our API products but will also support testing for streaming and data-sharing capabilities as needed. This hands-on, primarily manual QA role has a strong focus on request/response validation, edge-case scenarios, and performance checks, with the opportunity to build robust automation frameworks over time for data comparisons, shadow testing, and regression validation.

Your key responsibilities:
— Test and validate internal and external REST API endpoints, including JSON payloads, query parameters, headers, and status codes across multiple chains and data sources.
— Compare and verify data outputs against third-party sources to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency in multi-chain integrations.
— Investigate, reproduce, and document data issues reported by customers and internal stakeholders, working closely with support, product, and engineering teams.
— Develop comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test suites for new API endpoints, data features, and streaming services.
— Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data engineers to align on requirements and expected outputs, providing early feedback on design and implementation.
— Drive improvements in QA processes, including planning and implementing automated tests, data validation pipelines, and continuous integration checks.
— Occasionally assist with testing other Moralis products such as Streams or DataShare, contributing to cross-product quality assurance best practices.
